Tracklist
This mix is the first of mine using Ableton Live (for all tracks from 2-11). For those of you non-musos who don't know the software, it allows warping of tracks so that non-sequenced music can be mixed together perfectly, i.e., stuff that normally goes way out of time stays in time. For example, the Steve Miller Band track then Hot Chocolate in this mix. Anyway, the set's an expanded version of a warm-up set done for the first YooDoo Voodoo night on Friday 9 March 2007. It was played, in part, around 11.45-00.30, i.e., after the really weird shit that made everyone feel like they were on Mars, but before the bit I really kicked off. This version starts even slower (around 100bpm and speeds up finally to 120bpm). The music is not what you'd normally get from me. Not a full-on or middle of night set, and hence was recorded (and performed) under the name "Absent" Davie Starjuice, as it's more his sound rather than GK's. A kind of warm up with a variety of different styles. Also, you may find it TOO seamlessly mixed for your liking but please bear in mind it's my first one using this software. Hope you like it.
